2018 United Way SELA Annual Meeting and Live United Awards

As we reviewed our year under the leadership of our outgoing Board Chair, Rick Haase, we acknowledged so many of the wins and successes that we all shared together. We’re excited to welcome our new Board Chair, Bob Kimbro, as he takes such a passionate interest in our mission and the fight for our neighbors who are struggling every day to support themselves and their families.

None of this work would be possible if not for the tremendous effort and commitment of our volunteers and partners to improve the lives of every person in every community that we serve.  Each role is essential to achieving our vision. However, each year there are a few individuals whose efforts may serve to inspire the rest of us to continue the fight. We're thrilled to announce our 2017-2018 Live United Award Winners below. Please visit the photo gallery here

No one in isolation can solve complex community problems. We believe that every problem can be solved if we do it together.  But it takes all of us: fundraisers, hand-raisers, game-changers, partners, and YOU.

The only way we can create real, lasting change is through United Way’s Blueprint for Prosperity, bringing people, organizations, and systems together to work toward a common goal - building a better, brighter Southeast Louisiana.
