Call for Tornado Relief Volunteers

Tornadoes have caused widespread damage throughout our region, destroying homes and businesses. Long-term recovery and rebuilding takes time, money, and is more than just brick and mortar. United Way of Southeast Louisiana and its supported programs with nonprofit Community Impact Partner Agencies can provide food, clothing, counseling and other services to make people whole.

Volunteers are needed in New Orleans East to assist with neighborhood clean-up and debris removal.  All tools, materials, supplies, water and safety gear provided. Volunteers must be 18 years or older; closed toed shoes required (steel boots preferred).

Please sign up here if you would like to help our neighbors start the rebuilding process. Volunteers should arrive between 8:30am-9:00am at Camp Restore, 9301 Chef Menteur Hwy - New Orleans, LA 70127, located on the corner of Chef Menteur and Bundy Rd. Due to road closures, volunteers should travel via Crowder Blvd. to Lake Forest Blvd. onto Bundy. Plenty of free parking is available.
