NOEW Civic Innovation Summit

Catch United Way of Southeast Louisiana's President/CEO Michael Williamson at NOEW's Civic Innovation Summit.

RSVP HERE.

Michael Williamson, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and an esteemed list representatives from the public and private sectors give the pubic a great opportunity to continue conversations around the future of New Orleans in the lead up to the city’s Tricentennial in 2018. This event will call specifically on the private sector to add perspective & partner with the public sector to address three of the most significant risks to the future of New Orleans:

Resilience – our future depends upon our ability to address the environmental challenges New Orleans faces by restoring our coast and living with water.

Equity – our future depends on our ability to ensure that all New Orleanians are able to fully participate in the city’s growth.

Crime & Murder Reduction – our future depends upon our ability to create freedom & security for all New Orleanians.

The event will feature opening remarks from Mayor Landrieu followed by three short panels that include local leaders in the public, private, and philanthropic sectors on each of the risk areas. After the panels, attendees will participate in a facilitated discussion that asks audience members to identify opportunities to contribute to solutions.

Williamson has been at the forefront of eradicating poverty in southeast Louisiana by leading United Way's plan to create lasting change through our Blueprint for Prosperity.
