Welcome to United Way of Southeast Louisiana's

Washington Parish Regional Office

Fellow Washington Parish Residents:

On behalf of United Way serving Washington, and our dedicated Leadership Council, I would like to thank you for your willingness to help our local community. The need for services in our parish continues to grow every day, and economic conditions remain challenging. But when we all work together, United Way can ensure that essential services remain available to those who need them.

United Way’s 2011-2012 campaign promises to be one to remember!  Right now, we are preparing for a community-wide Day of Caring on September 16th, as we join to revitalize Goodyear Park in Bogalusa. All proceeds will go towards the Washington Parish Emergency Assistance Fund, which will help the fishermen, Temple-Inland employees and their families recover from the recent Pearl River chemical spill.

We are also eagerly anticipating our signature fundraising event of the year, the Washington Parish Magic City Gala / MY GIVING ROCKS! This event will be held on December 10th in Bogalusa.

With the help of dedicated donors, advocates and volunteers, United Way is making a significant impact on the education of our children, the health of our residents and the financial stability of all. We guarantee that the hard-earned dollars you invest are used to help those who need it most.

When you support United Way, you are leading by example. It is our social responsibility to work as a community to create a brighter future for ourselves, our families and our neighbors. This is what it means to Live United. Be a part of the change.

Best,

April Bruns
Executive Director, United Way serving Washington
