NOLA Coalition: Youth Support

The mission of the NOLA Coalition is to harness our collective resources to create a safer and more prosperous New Orleans for all residents. We support near-term actions to reduce violence, paired with social services to drive generational change. We stand ready to invest–our time, our people, our expertise, and our money–to help make a difference for New Orleans.

UWSELA, the New Orleans Children & Youth Planning Board, the New Orleans Youth Alliance, and the Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families will use the funds to implement the Youth Master Plan and provide grants to eligible nonprofit organizations via a competitive RFP process.

The Coalition is committed to raising $15M (over three years) for community-based youth service organizations to help them grow their impact and drive generational change.

UWSELA waives all fees; 100% of donor dollars will go to supporting the NOLA Coalition: Youth Support Initiative.

Unrestricted dollars are our top priority and enable the coalition to support youth-serving organizations, activate implementation of the Youth Master Plan, and provide transparent reporting to the public.

Designated dollars will be accepted if a donor prefers to self-select their organization of choice. We do still encourage the donor to give through the NOLA Coalition via United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) as this allows us to track, measure impact, and provide reporting.
