Grant Volunteer Reader Application

DEADLINE TO APPLY TO BE A VOLUNTEER READER CLOSED AS OF 11:00 am WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6, 2019.

United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) is seeking community volunteers to serve as grant reviewers to help read and rate proposals for our 2019-2022 Blueprint for Prosperity program grants. Volunteers with subject matter expertise will serve as peer reviewers to objectively evaluate a competitive group of grant applications against the criteria in the Blueprint for Prosperity Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). Reviewers will be chosen based on their knowledge, education, experience and any criteria included in FOA that the applicants must respond to.

Volunteers are also asked to disclose any conflict of interest information that they may have. To fill out our conflict of interest form, please click here. You will then need to save and upload it back to this page.

Volunteers are asked to commit approximately 15 hours during the month of the review process from March 4, 2019 – April 1, 2019 including attending a mandatory training at one of the time slots below:

  • Southshore: Thursday, February 21, 2019 - Southshore: 11:30am – 1:00pm at United Way SELA, 2515 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119
  • Southshore: Thursday, February 21, 2019 - Southshore: 4:00pm – 5:30pm at United Way SELA, 2515 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119
  • Northshore: Monday, February 25, 2019 - Northshore: 11:30am – 1:00pm at LOOP LLC, 137 Northpark Blvd., Covington, LA 70433
  • Southshore: Thursday, March 7, 2019 - Southshore: 11:30am – 1:00pm at United Way SELA, 2515 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119

Volunteer reviewer applications are due Friday, February 22, 2019. Currently funded partners and those seeking funding for 2019-2022 are not eligible.
