United Way Announces Public Policy Priorities for 2019 State Legislative Session

United Way of Southeast Louisiana is proud to announce our 2019 State Legislative Agenda, “United for a Safe & Prosperous Community,” which continues our advocacy work to lift up those in poverty and ALICE - individuals who earn above the poverty level but still struggle to make ends meet. 

Our Public Policy team will work to remove barriers and create opportunities for all to prosper by advocating in the following areas.

2019 Kay Fennelly Summer Literacy Institute Now Accepting Applications for Participation

Summer programs serving rising Pre-K through fourth grades in Orleans Parish are invited to apply for participation in the 2019 Kay Fennelly Summer Literacy Institute, an initiative of the New Orleans Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The Kay Fennelly Summer Literacy Institute is designed to promote literacy and prevent summer learning loss for New Orleans children as they enter kindergarten through fourth grade.
