Month three of United Way’s seven-month fundraising campaign is rolling along terrifically! With the hard work of 40 Board of Trustees members, 14 Campaign Cabinet members, 14 Resource Development staff members, and our entire 50-person staff, we are extremely optimistic that we will reach this year’s $14.6 million fundraising goal.

United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society exemplifies big hearted people. The international philanthropic society was named for the Frenchman Alexis Charles Henri Maurice Clerel de Tocqueville, who critiqued our country’s evolving political and social structure in ‘Democracy in America’ (1835 and 1840) and declared himself most impressed with Americans’ generosity.

Halloween is right around the corner and your little one is probably one of the estimated 41 million kids who trick or treat in the United States [Census.gov].  Whether you’re passing out candy to trick-or-treaters or knocking on the door, you can make a difference in a kid’s – or an adult’s – life this Halloween.
