Program Director - Louisiana Prisoner Re-entry Initiative
United Way of Southeast Louisiana is seeking a Program Director for the Louisiana Prisoner Re-entry Initiative for Jefferson Parish. This position works with the VP-Social Justice Initiatives and collaborative partners to provide programmatic and financial oversight to the initiative. A college degree, preferably with an advanced degree in social work, criminal justice, project management, or community development, is required. The successful candidate will also have a minimum of three years' experience working with re-entry citizens, collaborations, case management, and/or project management. The salary for this full-time position is $70,000, plus excellent benefits. Preference given to residents of Jefferson Parish, but all qualified applicants will be considered. PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY
United Way of Southeast Louisiana is seeking a Part-Time Academic Coach for our New Orleans East Prosperity Center. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:00pm – 6:00pm and the hourly rate is $25.00. There is the potential for the position to become full-time in the future.
Academic Coach
The Academic Coach will work closely with Interns to meet teen students’ learning needs by identifying barriers and weaknesses to academic success through analyzing student data and organizing/implementing problem-solving actions. Bachelor's degree in education or relevant work experience is required. Prior experience working with teens, particularly those facing challenges, and teaching/tutoring or similar work is preferred.
