Marsiglia Institute of Justice announces fall 2019 class

Diverse group will study the U.S. Constitution and its modern-day applications

NEW ORLEANS – Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and United Way of Southeast Louisiana announced today the 24 community leaders comprising the fall 2019 class of the Nancy M. Marsiglia Institute of Justice.

Now in its second year, the 12-week course educates established and burgeoning advocates on the principles and applications of the Constitution and empowers them to reclaim the civil discourse so urgently needed in our political climate.

Named in honor of the late Nancy M. Marsiglia, a tireless community activist, the Institute pairs traditional study of the Constitution through its articles, Bill of Rights, and amendments with lectures from subject-matter experts and challenging discussions. Upon completion of the course, participants will be recognized as Distinguished Fellows of the Nancy M. Marsiglia Institute of Justice.
