Williamson’s Notes: Follow Me for Wins

Take a moment to look back at the last 12 months. The smiles, tears, hugs, hard times, high-fives, and wins all blend together to make the memories of a year that comes on the heel of major changes to our way of life. 2022 was the first time in a long time that many of us could get together to mark the significant moments in our lives and work.

And just as we do in this technology-driven world, you likely took to social media to post about your time spent with friends and family. Our team at United Way of Southeast Louisiana did just the same.

Our extraordinary wins of 2022 would not be possible were it not for the efforts of our partners, volunteers, advocates, teammates, and donors, and we proudly post those shared wins to our @UnitedWaySELA feeds to show our supporters the strength and effectiveness of our Blueprint for Prosperity – our plan to end poverty.

As you’ll see in our timeline below, our year was marked by a strong sense of collaboration and partnership. You’ll also see a strong spirit of compassion and generosity that runs within Southeast Louisiana.

We have a lot to celebrate this time of year, but the simple truth is struggling families need United Way more than ever. Just as we did in 2022, we’ll rise to the challenges of 2023. Because change doesn’t just happen; it’s created together.

Living United,

Michael Williamson, President and CEO

Michael
